DESIGN FOR IMPACT
Aim
The module aims to cultivate students’ empathy towards different segments of society, particularly people with disabilities, by designing products that meet their needs. The course emphasizes user-centered design and problem solving, introducing students to product design principles and practices. Students will learn about user research, concept development, prototyping, testing, and sustainable design.
The course also aims to teach students about product design principles and practices using the Arduino platform. By the end of the course, students should be able to create functional prototypes and understand the product design process.
