DESIGN SUSTAINABLE CITIES
Aim
This course aims to educate students about sustainable development goals, biomimicry, and the application of design principles inspired by nature to develop innovative solutions. Participants will learn sketching techniques, laser cutting, mold making, CAD software, and concrete casting to create prototypes that demonstrate their understanding of biomimicry and sustainable design.
This course also aims to teach students how to design a sustainable house inspired by nature and incorporating automation through Arduino. Students will learn CAD and 3D printing skills to visualize and analyze their designs. Upon completion, students should have a greater understanding and appreciation for the natural world and how to leverage it to develop sustainable solutions for the future.
